Google Analytics needs consent, and a large share of visitors clicks it away. Matomo can be set up so that it measures without cookies and with a shortened IP address — legally sound, with numbers you can rely on. This website measures in exactly that way.

You pay for the solution once, after that it belongs to you: full source code, all credentials, documentation. Technology does need care, of course — which is why I offer maintenance (Matomo updates, archiving, monitoring, a short monthly report on request). It is cancellable monthly.
You can leave at any time and change developer — I deliberately build so that anyone else can take over. Loyalty should come from usefulness, not from a contract.

What gets asked beforehand.
Is Matomo without cookies really GDPR-compliant?
With a cookieless configuration, a shortened IP address and hosting in the EU, it is the most privacy-friendly route. Whether you can do without a consent banner entirely depends on the rest of the site — I check that as well.
Are you an option from Berlin, Munich or Hamburg too?
Yes. Setting up Matomo runs entirely remotely — the location makes no difference.
Can we bring the Google Analytics data with us?
Yes, historical data can be imported. I name the effort in advance as a fixed price.
